I actually combine and mix my beard butter with my oil and put that in after my morning shower and then butter only before bed. It works great for me.

Hey!!! I mix a few drops of oil into my butter and use it after my shower. It’s perfect. It took me awhile to figure out but you get the best of both worlds in one application.

The main thing is to have the 2 liquids at the same temp when mixing. this is why the ice is last, after you mix the Arak and water at same temp.

So oil and butter, I have been using both twice a day, morning and night letting the oil soak in a while first. beard feels amazing and not oily. Am I doing too much? Should it be oil in morning then butter at night? What's the optimal routine?

Big respect for mentioning that the products wont change. People loved that scotch porter balm until it they rebranded and changed it, DGC don't mess about with putting aqua and rubbish in their products. I pay a lot more for the DGC products in the UK... BUT I haven't found anything that comes close to sorting my wiry curly dry beard like their butter does. I actually think I couldnt have a longer beard without these products. Big up

New to beard products, I recently discovered Detroit Grooming's Corktown Beard Oil and Butter. Now I am addicted. I had first tried cheap stuff from big box stores and that stuff can't compare...AT ALL.
